Heartland Neurology recently purchased a Cadwell SierraSummit EMG/NCV/EP. A nerve conduction study is used to evaluate the function, particularly the conduction, of the motor and sensory nerves in the human body. An Electromyography evaluates and records the electrical activity produced by skeletal muscles. Additionally, our equipment records the temperature during the test, which affects readings, and will make us one of the few AANEM-accredited NCS/EMG practices in south and southwest Florida.
Heartland Neurology is a participating Medicare provider, including AARP supplemental part F. We have also been credentialed by Aetna as an out-of-network provider, and look forward to receiving in-network participation soon!
